Exploring Flickr
WOW! Flickr is great, it will be fantastic when it comes to adding pictures to handouts and when we have to do displays. The only problem that I am still having is that I cannot work out how to add RSS feeds to my IGoogle page. I have followed the instructions, but it still does not work and I have even tried typing in a URL. Any ideas where I might be going wrong?

Hey Julie, do you get the orange RSS button in your URL bar when you're looking at a Flickr photostream page? E.g. if you're on http://www.flickr.com/photos/camdiary/ (Sir Cam's photostream), and you click the orange button, you should get a little menu with various feed options all starting with 'Subscribe to Flickr: Sir Cam's photostream'. If you choose the RSS one it should then give you the choice of receiving the feed in your iGoogle page or Google Reader ...
ReplyDeleteHi Rainbow Reader: I don't get an RSS button in the URL bar (as suggested by librariangoddess), but if I click an RSS feed button wherever I can find it on a page, and copy the link then go to my iGoogle page, click on the "add stuff" link and then paste into the box marked "add feed or gadget" and then click add, it will usually go onto my iGoogle page. Hope that makes sense, and may be of help if you don't get an RSS button in your URL bar like me.
